Darwin

Dinner tonight

soooooooooo good!
It was so very, very good. I modified the recipe a bit this time around. Veggie broth instead of the chicken stock,  Fish Eye chardonnay for the wine. Spinach instead of the mustard greens. I also cooked the barley more like a traditional risotto insead of the truncated one dose of broth and dump [...]

Surreal

Much of the talk this afternoon was “where were you?”
Professor thought it more important to give us the opportunity to watch the inauguration. THANK YOU Professor! I was really lamenting that I had to be in class all day and away from any broadcasts. So the a web broadcast was up on the viewing screens [...]

Does not look good.

This afternoon, I picked up the two lab books I would need for the upcoming quarter. I opened my bio lab book and my stomach did a little lurch.

Granted, I figured I’d meet a frog and pig this quarter. BTDT in high school biology. But the sheep heart and brain? I’m really rethinking the 8am [...]
